Why would you want a custom harness over the standard harness with the fuse close to the ecu connector?
Simple, a custom harness will allow you to have the fuse placed closer to the battery to be able to protect your vehicle further. The standard universal harness has the fuse closer to the ecu connector so that if you need to modify the length of the harness, you are not cutting off the fuse. In an ideal situation, you want as much of the harness fused as possible.
These harnesses are built to order, and current expected lead time is 3-5 business days. We will do our best to get it shipped out as soon as possible. It will delay your whole order so we can ship everything at once.
